PINNED MOTORCYCLE EVENT

CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO RIDE

THE WHO

The motorcycle riders, the builders, & the enthusiasts.

Pinned was a motorcycle event/run started by Kareem Jackson aka DC Kareem. Matchbox was brought on to help organize and promote the event. The typical Pinned attendee was your late 20's to mid 30's guy who built and worked on their own bike. We wanted to broaden the audience a little for anyone and everyone who had an interest in motorcycles.

THE CONCEPT

A place where everybody loves bikes and where everyone is welcome.

Pinned had already been happening on an annual basis when we joined the team so there's wasn't a ton of stuff to re-imagine. We wanted to make sure that the event was well attended and well received by everyone. No matter what kind of bike they rode or what their title was at work. Working on the footprint was a big focus. Closing down the street outside of the main event space allowed for more wiggle room inside the gates and rows of bikes made for a great visual impact on your way inside. It was like a bike show at the entrance where attendees walked up and down the sidewalk checking out what everybody was riding.

THE EXECUTION

Bikes, bands, & booze.

Staying true to the Pinned vibe, judges were on-site looking at all of the bikes that had been parked on the street for awards that went to a number of different styles of bikes. We added another stage with a DJ playing a mix of rock and hip-hop, and the day went really well. Attendance was up and the weather was incredible.
